1 Who we are
aro.well is a private, Māori-informed wellness service operated by Tiki Media Ltd (NZBN 9429041105900).
2 What we collect
- Email address and first name (wait-list & newsletters)
- Self-identified gender (required)
- Archetype choice and quiz answers
- Any messages you send us
3 How we use your information
- Confirm your wait-list place and deliver requested resources
- Improve our content (e.g. which archetypes resonate)
- Meet legal obligations
4 No tracking, no cookies
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioural cookies. A single, strictly-necessary session cookie may be set so forms work; it expires when you close your browser.
5 Where we store data
- MailerLite (EU data centre) – email list
- Supabase (NZ ↔ AU region) – app back-end
6 How we keep data safe
TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest. Access is limited to the aro.well core team.
7 Your rights & opt-out
- Request a copy of your data
- Correct or delete that data
- Withdraw consent and unsubscribe with one click
8 Disclosure
We never sell data. We share it only with the processors named above or if required by New Zealand law.
9 International transfers
If data must move outside NZ or the EEA, we will ensure the destination provides comparable safeguards or use standard-contractual clauses.
10 Changes to this policy
Updates will appear here; substantial changes will be emailed to all subscribers.
Indigenous Data Sovereignty & Cultural IP
All cultural and emotional data shared in aro.well are treated as taonga. We honour principles of Indigenous data sovereignty and intellectual property:
- Kaitiakitanga – data is held in stewardship, never sold or traded.
- Mana Motuhake – you retain sovereignty and can delete your data at any time.
- Cultural Integrity – AI features are non-extractive, privacy-first, and guided by tikanga.
